Open Hands launched a new partnership with All Angels' Church - Our Place Cafe on Tuesday, May 15. Open Hands volunteers joined the community members at All Angels for a family style dinner. After dinner we worshipped together. Executive Director C.J. Masimore then conducted a Know Your Rights seminar for tenants on how to get repairs and what to do if your landlord illegally locks you out of your apartment. Afterwards, five Open Hands volunteers ran the legal aid desk and met with 13 clients, many of whom attended specifically to meet with our volunteer attorneys. The whole evening was a joy and we are looking forward to serving again in August!
